This auction is for an original vintage newspaper dated May 6, 1940. In this newspaper is a full page of pictures of St. Louisans' at the Kentucky Derby. Some of the people included in these pictures are: Carl G. Stifel & wife (real estate), Rochard Moss & wife (Moss Tie Co), Mayor Dickmann, Otto Dickmann, Sidney Maestre, Lorraine Campbell, Ralph Hager, Herbert la Barr of Woolworth Co., W.E. Wahle, Cardinal Laboratories, Charles Bluestone, A. Willert of Woolworth, Mr. & Mrs. Frank O. Watts, First Natl Bank, Col, E.R. Bradley, Robert Hannegan, Lawyer, Leo C. Fuller of Stix, Baer and Fuller, Vladimir Golschmann, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
There are a few worm holes and the newspaper is yellowing a bit from age but is overall in good readable condition.
