This auction is for a beautiful specimen of gemmy orange Creedite. This is one of the gemmiest pieces of the latest lot (level 3, the lowest level where Creedite is found) which came out of Navidad. A great addition to the top shelf of any cabinet!

NOTE: The upper (oxide) portion of the Mina Navidad is now played out, mined out, and CLOSED. Expect nice specimens of Creedite from Navidad to be going up in price soon.

Creedite, Hydrated Calcium Aluminum Sulfate Hydroxide Fluoride, has a formula of Ca3Al2SO4(F, OH) • 2H2O. The name comes from Creede, Colorado, where it was first identified.
