This is NO DOUBT the cleanest & in the best shape of any Butter Churn I have ever came across.
This old butter churn is 13' high 7" across the bottom.
And a 4 Qt size.
The
The glass jar is marked "fill to here" with a line and a # 4.
The bottom is marked "SCC" & "Pat. App. For".
The handle is marked at the base "21" "J".
The gear box and handle are red.
The wooden paddles Have A lil nick that was repaired a while back,almost unnoticable(mentioned for accuracy).
In very very good condition, there are no chips, cracks, or other "nasties".
The glass is nice and clear no stains.
The screw on lid has almost no wear and the gear box has no scuffing on the paint. Over all condition is "LIKE NEW".
Very useable or as a display piece.
The butter churn is four quart and was sold by Sears, Roebuck and Company with a Farm Master label.
They were also offered in 4 and 8 quart sizes.
This style first appeared in the spring-summer 1946 catalog.
There was a notation that year that this butter churn would not be available until March 15, 1946 and the cost was $2.29 for the four quart.
A very hard to find Item listed with NO RESERVE!
